RAYS 2025 is the second edition of the Rainforest Youth Summit, dedicated to empowering the next generation of environmental leaders. This year’s theme, Living Landscapes: Charting a Sustainable Future, explores the crucial relationship between humans and the natural world. Through the wisdom of indigenous communities, innovation, and collaborative solutions, RAYS aims to foster actionable change for a sustainable and equitable future.

About the Summit
The RAYS 2025 Summit is returning to the heart of Borneo, hosted in Sarawak’s vibrant capital, Kuching. Known for its rich cultural heritage, breathtaking biodiversity, and forward-thinking sustainability initiatives, Sarawak is the ideal backdrop for the second edition of the summit dedicated to empowering youth, amplifying indigenous voices, forging cross-cultural collaboration and harnessing the linkage between sustainable tourism and climate justice.
Sarawak is home to iconic cultural sites, cutting-edge green innovation, and vibrant local communities working to preserve the region's unique environment and traditions. We are thrilled to work alongside local and international partners to deliver a transformative experience that resonates on a global stage.
The Summit will welcome over 700 youth from across ASEAN and the world, gathering to collaborate, share ideas, and inspire action across Sarawak’s iconic venues.

Registration & Credentials
All delegates must check in to receive their ID Tag. We strongly recommend pre-registering a day before the summit to avoid delays that could affect your access to sessions.
Pre-Registration at Partner Hotels
June 17: Timings will be based on flight arrivals (Delegates who have shared their flight details with us will be able to register upon arrival at their designated hotel, according to their arrival time. If you have not yet shared your flight details, please do so as soon as possible to ensure a smooth registration process)

RAYS 2025 participants are registered under one of the following categories. Your category determines your access level and workshop sign up* privileges:
Speaker
Plenary access, ceremonies, speaker lounge, private transfers, meals, RWMF ticket, media visibility.
Delegate
Plenary access, ceremonies, workshop sign up*, shuttle, meals, RWMF ticket**, digital certificate.
Chaperone / Support
Plenary access, ceremonies, shuttle, meals, RWMF ticket, digital certificate.
Volunteer
Access based on assigned roles and schedules, RWMF ticket**, digital certificate.
Media
Plenary access, ceremonies, press conference, media room (by request), shuttle
Organising Committee
Full access, ceremonies, secretariat access, priority movement, shuttle, meals.
* Workshop sign up refers to workshops, roundtables, and wellness sessions. Spots are limited. Once a session is fully booked, you will not be able to reserve a spot — though limited walk-in slots will be available on-site.
**RWMF ticket for delegates: redeemable upon attendance of at least 60% of the summit sessions
**RWMF ticket for volunteers: redeemable upon completion of assigned tasks
Note: Your ID Tag must be worn at all times for access to official summit areas and activities.

Getting there:
Complimentary shuttles will run to and from the summit venue and RAYS Partner Hotels, with a few stops in between at selected hours.
- The shuttle timetable will be posted on the RAYS Community Platform and our social media channels.
- Grab/e-hailing services are reliable in Kuching.
Accommodation Details
RAYS 2025 has partnered with several hotels. Delegates who are supported under the RAYS Delegate Accommodation Support Initiative will receive separate booking confirmation via email. All room assignments are same-gender.
