Middle School Science Teacher & Specialist, Green School Bali
Olivier Bourdon is a Middle School science teacher at Green School Bali, where he specialises in blending hands-on enquiry with theoretical understanding. With a growing focus on regenerative design and biomimicry, Olivier is passionate about equipping students with the tools to think critically and act sustainably. He also shares his love of music by teaching marimba, ukulele, and guitar.
Since joining Green School in 2015, Olivier has held various roles, starting as a Year 5 homeroom teacher before becoming Head of Science in Primary. For the past four years, he has served as Middle School’s science specialist. Prior to joining GSB, he was a PYP Coordinator at an IB school in Bali.
Some of Olivier’s highlights at Green School include initiating the Student-Led Projects programme in Primary, leading a service trip to Pulau Rote with High School students and the Indonesian Manta Project, and serving as a workshop leader at the Green Educators Course. He is currently playing a key role in embedding regenerative design and biomimicry into the school’s learning frameworks.
Beyond the classroom, Olivier is a nature lover, surfer, diver, and guitar player. He brings his curiosity, care, and experience into every learning space—and is proud to be a lifelong learner and a devoted dad.
