Ticketing:
- All ticket purchases are non-refundable.
- Tickets are non-transferable, unless written permission is obtained from the organiser prior to the event.
- In the case of event postponement, tickets will be valid for the new date.
- The Alumni Pass (using the alumni discount code) is available exclusively to RAYS 2024 and RAYS 2025 alumni. Any non-alumni delegate, or any delegate unable to verify alumni status, found to have used the discount code will be required to pay the outstanding balance at the prevailing standard rate to maintain a valid registration. Failure to do so will result in the invalidation of the summit pass.
- Tickets may not be resold or used for promotions, giveaways, or advertising without written permission from Memories Entertainment.
- By attending, you give the Event Organisers and its partners the right to use your image or likeness in any event-related content, photos, videos, or promotional materials.
- Any unauthorised chargebacks or payment disputes will be pursued.
General registration:
- Once registration and payment are complete, you will receive a confirmation email and further summit updates, including instructions to download the Summit Event App.
- All attendees under 18 must attend with a registered adult chaperone or delegate.
- On-site registration will not be available — all delegates must register in advance.
- For security purposes, all delegates must present identification upon check-in.
Registration will remain open until we reach capacity.
The Rainforest Youth Summit (“RAYS”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is the programme responsible for the planning and delivery of RAYS events and initiatives. Personal data collected in connection with RAYS is processed and administered by Memories Entertainment Sdn. Bhd. on behalf of RAYS, solely for purposes related to event delivery, programme administration, and participant engagement.
RAYS collects personal data through its website, registration platforms, application forms, surveys, and event-related communications. This may include your name, contact details, country of residence, organisational affiliation (if applicable), registration and participation details, and information required for travel, accommodation, or programme administration. Certain information, such as dietary requirements or accessibility needs, may be considered sensitive personal data and is collected only to support your participation.
Personal data is processed for purposes related to planning, administering, and delivering RAYS activities, including event registration, programme participation, communication, Access Fund and fellowship assessments, on-site logistics, safety, and post-event evaluation. RAYS does not sell or trade personal data.
Personal data may be shared, where necessary, with appointed event partners or service providers strictly for operational purposes related to RAYS. Data is not shared with funders or sponsors unless required for reporting purposes or where explicit consent has been provided.
RAYS is organised in Malaysia and processes personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) of Malaysia. Where applicable, personal data is also processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for participants from the European Union or United Kingdom.
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are taken to protect personal data from unauthorised access, misuse, loss, or disclosure. Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, or withdraw consent at any time by contacting RAYS. Please note that withdrawing consent may affect your ability to participate in certain programmes or events.
By registering for or participating in RAYS activities, you acknowledge and consent to the collection and processing of your personal data as described in this Privacy Policy. RAYS may update this policy from time to time, and any material changes will be published on the RAYS website.
