From Coastlines to Corridors: Pacific Strategy and Narrative in

From Coastlines to Corridors: Pacific Strategy and Narrative in Global Climate Advocacy Facilitator: Dylan Kava Climate advocacy does not begin or end in the negotiation room. For Pacific Island communities and Global South movements, the pathway from local reality to global policy is shaped by story, strategy, and collective voice. This workshop draws on PICAN’s experience across COP processes, the International Court of Justice Advisory Opinion campaign, and the Fossil Fuel Free Pacific movement to explore how young advocates can design narratives that move decision-makers and build power across multilateral spaces. The session is grounded in the idea that effective climate advocacy sits at the intersection of three forces: lived experience, strategic framing, and coalition building. Participants will leave with practical frameworks they can apply to their own campaigns, regardless of the ecosystem or geography they work in.
