Mapping Systems and Shifting Behaviour for Real Change

Mapping Systems and Shifting Behaviour for Real Change Facilitator: Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) This workshop focuses on understanding how complex social, environmental, and economic systems interact — and where meaningful change can actually happen. Participants will map real-world challenges across systems, while examining how behaviour, habits, and social norms influence outcomes within those systems. What happens in the room: Map a real issue across environmental, social, and economic systems Identify connections, feedback loops, and points of tension Surface behavioural patterns (habits, norms, biases) shaping outcomes Identify leverage points where small shifts could lead to larger change Takeaway: A systems map with identified leverage points, and a practical understanding of how behavioural insights can be used to influence change within complex systems.
