An academic and civil engineer with 26 years of diverse experience, he has worked extensively in water treatment and desalination, including applications powered by machine learning. His expertise also spans disaster management and relief operations, where he has contributed to both strategic planning and on-the-ground implementation. He brings significant experience as a consultant and trainer, having delivered nearly 1,000 hours of training across a wide range of sectors. His work has involved collaboration with private companies, international non-governmental organisations (INGOs), United Nations agencies, and universities in both Palestine and Malaysia. Through these engagements, he has supported capacity-building efforts and knowledge exchange in areas related to engineering, sustainability, and crisis response. In addition to his professional practice, he has made substantial academic contributions. He has authored 20 ISI-indexed journal articles, three research books, and four book chapters, reflecting his ongoing commitment to advancing knowledge and research in his field.
