Dr Jessica Lee is the Head of Avian, Counter-Wildlife Trafficking, and Youth Programmes & Partnerships at Mandai Nature, a Singapore-based non-profit conservation organisation dedicated to advancing biodiversity conservation across Southeast Asia. In her role, she oversees multiple conservation projects supported by Mandai Nature and collaborates with regional partners to drive measurable conservation outcomes, while also building capacity and networks to strengthen conservation efforts. Dr Lee serves as a coordinator of the IUCN SSC Asian Songbird Trade Specialist Group and is a member of the IUCN SSC Hornbill Specialist Group Steering Committee. In these roles, she works to align regional conservation initiatives with broader biodiversity recovery plans, ensuring that strategic actions are both evidence-based and impactful. Through her leadership, Dr Lee has contributed significantly to the protection of threatened species, the mitigation of wildlife trafficking, and empowerment in conservation. Her work exemplifies a commitment to fostering collaborative, science-driven approaches that advance both regional and global biodiversity goals.
