Theron Then

President, AZAM Young Souls

Participated in RAYS

2025

Theron Then is a passionate youth leader and dedicated advocate for community empowerment, currently serving as the President of AZAM Young Souls (AYS) for the 2024–2026 term. A second-year Communication student, Theron possesses a strong foundation in strategic communication, leadership, and youth development, which he brings wholeheartedly to his role.

Under his leadership, AYS has embarked on a range of impactful initiatives aimed at promoting social innovation, inclusive community engagement, and capacity-building programmes for young people across Sarawak. His commitment to nurturing future leaders is reflected in his focus on providing platforms that amplify the voices of underrepresented communities and support personal and collective growth.

Theron strongly believes that youth are not just the leaders of tomorrow, but active contributors to change today. His work involves not only developing programmes, but also mentoring peers, collaborating with local stakeholders, and advocating for policy-level support for youth initiatives.

With a clear vision, a heart for service, and an unwavering commitment to positive change, Theron continues to inspire his peers to become proactive changemakers. Through his efforts, he aims to build a more inclusive and empowered society—one where every young person has the opportunity to lead, grow, and make a meaningful impact.

We respectfully acknowledge that this summit takes place on the ancestral lands of the Indigenous peoples of Sarawak, including the Iban, Bidayuh, Orang Ulu, and Malay communities. We honour their enduring connection to this land, their cultures, and their traditions, and recognise their continued contributions to the richness of Sarawak's heritage.
