Youness Ouazri is a passionate earthen construction engineer with a background in civil engineering. He graduated in 2015 from École Hassania des Travaux Publics and worked for two years at a technical studies office as a structural engineer and project manager. In 2017, he founded Ecodome Maroc, an enterprise specialising in the ecological construction of houses and infrastructure for rural tourism, using locally sourced raw materials, primarily earth. Together with his team, he has adapted traditional earthen construction techniques to meet modern standards and technical requirements. Their work focuses on creating buildings that are highly energy-efficient, resilient to natural phenomena, particularly earthquakes, and capable of addressing the challenge of infrastructure access in isolated areas. To date, Ecodome Maroc has completed more than 50 projects across the Kingdom of Morocco. The company has received several national and international awards and is now seeking to scale its activities across Africa and the Middle East.
